My research focuses on the following topics:
(1) Motivated Social cognition: Motivational determinants of judgment and decision making, especially the impact of the Need for Cognitive Closure and stressors on decision making and (social) judgment
(2) Political psychology: Ideology; political extremism; political cognition
(3) Racism/prejudice: Dispositional and situational determinants of racism
(4) Personality: Openness to experience; relationship between personality and ideology
(5) Implications of motivated cognitive processes in clinical psychology
